If previous Presidents had the political will to sanction Iran instead of appeasing them Iran would have had limited financial resources to support terrorism as was the policy under the sanctions of President Trump and Iran’s proxy Hamas would not have been able to invade Israel as they did on October 7th, 2023 committing the most heinous, shocking. grusome and grotesque crimes one can only imagine targeting civilians, infants, pregnant women and the elderly.

President Trump in his first term sanctioned Iran, cut off their banking, confiscated their financial assets, punished any country that purchased oil and gas from Iran or violated these sanctions. Iran’s oil and gas revenues were reduced to a trickle instead of flooding in by the billions.
Iran’s ability to fund terrorism deminished substantially . President Trump’s embargo and his policy of seeking peace through strength was very effective.
Why? Because President Trump had the political will, a strong knowledge and sense of history, pure guts and bravado, negotiation skills, confidence and the experience from business on how to build or destroy a deal. He wrote the book “The Art of the Deal” and brought his business background to Washinton D.C.
When the Democrat’s were in power and sanctions did not exist or were removed after President Trump” 45 ” left office state sponsored terrorism by Iran increased to a level never seen before until President Trump ” 47 ” was re-elected in 2024 when he reintroduced his sanctions against Iran bringing their oil and gas revenues and terrorism practically to a standstill. The Democrats in the White House had a policy of appeasement, lacked negotiating skills and the political will to protect Israel and America from terrorism.
Another example of the lack of urgency and political will was when President Obama a resident of Illinois did nothing to stop the murder and mayhem of young Black people from killing each other. That should have been one of his priorities and at the top of his agenda.
Under President Trump Iran’s ability to finance terrorism and fund Hamas, the Houthis, Hezbollah and other anti-Jewish, anti-American groups was limited and there were very little overt hostilities toward Americans and Israelis.
Under President Obama, Iran was allowed to have a pathway to a nuclear weapon and allowed to sell oil and gas which financed their terrorism. President Obama sent plane loads of cash to Iran which fueled a lot of weaponry used against Israel.
Under President Biden and his policy of appeasement he lifted President Trump’s sanctions and oil and gas money again began to flow to Iran. Iran was rich again hence what followed was Oct 7th, 2023, the worst catastrophe in Jewish history since the Holocaust.
Once the war with Iran is won, millions of lives will be saved, tensions in the Middle East will have fallen to the lowest level in history, more Arab and Muslim nations will join the Abraham Accords bringing commerce, tourism, travel through each of their airports, exchange of students, technology and a shared sense of security against terrorism will unite Jews, Arabs, Muslims and Christians but in the meantime we have to in exchange for this war pay higher prices for gas and goods.
Once the war ends and Iran is defeated the world will be a safer place with no nuclear threats, no terrorism from Iran’s proxy’s and peace will thrive for a long long time. Paying more for gas and goods temporarily is a small price to pay to secure peace and harmony in the world. Look at the long-term effects and not the short-term pain.
