Yes, it is true that the group appears mostly White. There are at least 2 Blacks and maybe 3. But you will not be able to identify the other minorities in the group because a person’s physical appearance is not always conclusive of their minority status.
More than half of Hispanics are White. Mathematically there has to be some in this photo. The Spanish and Latinos are minorities. 52 % of Hispanics or more are White and identify as White so you do have minorities in the group that you can’t visibly identify.
How many, it’s impossible to know but I understand the point of the graphic. My wife is a White woman from the Dominican Republic, and you won’t know she is a minority. My friends’ wives from Ecuador look White but are Ecuadorian, mixed White and Indian but the White is predominant in their appearance.
You don’t have to just be Black to be considered a minority and to receive all the privileges and benefits of Affirmative Action and D.E.I. The “Affirmative Action” law of the early 1960’s was declared unconstitutional 60 years later after it was in service all this time. It was reverse discrimination.
The definitions of minorities are arbitrary and capricious. I just Googled the definition of minority: “In the United States, a “minority” generally refers to racial, ethnic, or other groups that are smaller in number or historically subordinated compared to the majority population, often facing social, economic, or political disadvantages.”
If you accept this definition, then you should add in Jews who represent less than 2% of the population and are the number one target of hate crimes in the United States. The Black population is 12-14%, Hispanic’s 19-20%; Jews are less than 2%. So, it’s very arbitrary. Jews are minorities but are not recognized as such.
Your premise based on the graphic that there are only white people in it on its face value is false. There are a few Blacks and amonst the Whites in the photo there must be some Hispanics since 50-52 % of them are White . Without knowing more about them your analysis is unscientific and flawed.
