The mainstream Democrat Party has been hijacked by the left aka the Democrat Socialist Party (DSA). This is not the same Democrat Party of our parents and grandparents represented by Roosevelt, Truman, JFK, Clinton etc. This is a bastardization of what the Democrat Party stood for and are today hiding behind the name Democrat in name only.
Some of the things that the DSA want are open borders, eliminate the police, shut down the prisons, take over and control the industrial means of production, no voter I.D., eliminate Israel, take away the rights of landlords and transfer them to government-controlled housing.
They want to impeach President Trump, replace capitalism, allow stealing with impunity based on the moral need of the impoverished, cancellation of all student debt, reparations and major investment in communities harmed by slavery, colonialism, and discrimination.
Their policy’s would include defunding the Department of Defense, ending foreign wars, closing overseas military bases, create a new constitution and a democratic socialist republic, allow transgender surgery for minors, permitting men in woman’s sports, locker rooms and private places, elimination of fossil fuel with windmills, solar and hydro power. That’s just a small sample of what they envision as an ideal world.
If they knew anything about Socialism, they would know that full blown Socialism never succeeded anywhere in the world. The strongest and richest countries are those that have capitalism as imperfect as it is, it’s still the best of all evils.
It creates wealth, jobs, innovations and inventions, it frees and develops the human spirit with freedom and justice for all. That is why the greatest, freest, most powerful and richest countries in the world are capitalistic countries.
Winston Churchill said: “Capitalism is the worst economic system except for all the others.” “The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings. The inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.”
If you love Socialism then I suggest you try Russia, North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba, China, Viet Nam where there is a one-party rule with fake elections and everything is controlled including the media and means of production.
Often the food supply is scare as well as energy and your freedom is pretty much non-existent.
