The construction business is booming. Migrants are all over NY one of many sanctuary states. They are working off the books for cash doing sheetrock, painting, masonry, electrical, plumbing, plastering, general cleanup, driving. My neighbors hire them not just for construction work but for homecare, house cleaning, custodial work, restaurant work, dishwashers, busboys, waiters, hotel house keepers, home attendants, maids, janitors, etc.
They get paid twice, once from Uncle Sam and then working off the books, so they don’t pay federal state or city taxes, and they get free stuff from us aka our government. They are doing better than the middle class. We have a budget deficit of $40 trillion dollars. Our real estate and city taxes plus our state taxes keep going up.
For each child in our NYC school system, it costs $45,000 to $47,00 per student. We are reading, writing and doing math below grade level partially because teachers have to spend time with migrant children due to the language problem and we don’t have enough bilingual teachers. Thus, our American kids are not getting the education their parents paid for.
If you want a doctor’s appointment you have to wait 3 to 6 weeks and the clinics are worse. The emergency rooms are backed up and it takes 2 days to get a bed. The country is full of criminal migrants unvetted as well as spy cells, drug, gun and human traffickers.
If you want migrants let them go the consulate or border crossing get in line and apply. Most of them are here for free stuff and the middle class is paying for it. If you don’t live in a big city, blue city or a sanctuary state you may not feel the overload on our infrastructure, but when you let in 20 million to 30 million people the stress on our systems is real.
Don if you live in a small town or city, you may not feel the effect of uncontrolled migration but people in blue states and cities are having issues big time. If you think that allowing 20 million to 30 million unknown migrants into our country is not causing problems than you are not paying attention and living in a bubble
