The United States of America has the unique distinction as the only country in the world that allows anyone to walk across their borders unannounced and unvetted.  If anyone, any legitimate person or persons wants asylum all they have to do is appear at any official border gate or crossing and request asylum. Or they can go to any U.S. Consulate, Embassy or Mission and apply. If you cross  our sovereign border  secretely where there is no processing center then you are here not for asylum but for free stuff that is paid for by the American tax payer or you are here because you are running away from the law or looking to sell drugs, guns, traffic children and woman for financial gain or perhaps to act on behalf of a terrorist anti American foreign government or group to do us harm.
