Mary Jo Maffia led the Pledge of Allegiance.  Saritha Komatireddy presented her candidacy for Attorney General.  In memory of Joseph Maffia who died in August 2025, Mary-Jo Maffia accepted tributes from Haris Bhattia, Christie Brown, Edwin dela Cruz, Isaiah Vega, Michael Zumblaskas, Danniel Maio, MJ Maffia and Nathaniel Gavronsky. Republicans under Mamdani – November 20, 2025

Watch the video of the November 20, 2025 meeting on YouTube. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm.  Michelle Koval led the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by the reading of club's Mission Statement by Jim Strawhorn.  Regina Faighes read the minutes, and Arkadiusz Tomaszewski gave the financial report.  Martha Rowen delivered the Nominating Committee's report.  Ilan Riss gave his first hand account of the Israeli hostage history and status.  Svetlana Zelinskaya, the newly elected First Vice Chairman of the Kings County GOP painted a picture of what Republicans need to do.   Sophia Worrell's note cards which summarized what she observed from Democrats. Trump increased Republican registration in Queens by 10%

When candidate Joe Biden secured the nomination for president on the Democratic Party line in June 2020, the number of registered Republicans active in Queens was about 126,972. Four months later, that total was increased to 139,556 right before the General Election.  President Trump single-handedly increased voter registration of Republicans by 10%.

Is the Be Counted NYC campaign legal?

Be Counted NYC, funded by the Related Company, sent text messages, did phone calls and a mailing to convert Republicans and other non-Democrats to Democrat by the February 14 deadline. The pre-printed ballot has "Democratic party" pre-checked together with a pre-paid envelope to the Board of Elections.  According to NYS Board of Elections, Lisa J. Blau in the name of Be Counted NYC (Filer ID 22572), personally contributed $1,519,500 as of January 14, 2021. Our Republican response is Vote 2 Party.  Comment? It failed. Community Board member application due February 19th

Community Boards in NYC is where most local issues are raised and discussed.  Queens has 14 boards.  Each board has 50 volunteers.  Half is appointed by the Borough President, and the other half by City Council members. Application for 2021 is due February 19th.  Thanks Stephen.
